Immigration Law Association in conjunction with PILS
On Saturday, October 6, a very special event will be hosted by Immigration Legal Services at Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Baton Rouge.
Namely, we are screening participants for / informing participants about DACA eligibility.
The goal is to help them decide whether or not to apply for the limited immigration benefits provided by Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals.
Please refer to the attached flyer, and note some key points before signing up:
- Volunteers can work one or more 2-hour shifts that start at 12:00 pm, 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm.
- Volunteer training will take place from 9:00 am to 11:00 am that same day. If you volunteer to serve DACA’ers,you automatically commit to volunteer training.
- Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
- Qualifies as pro bono / service hours for the school or organization of your choice.
