In addition to fostering community service and pro bono opportunities at LSU Law, PILS is also deeply committed to furthering students’ careers in public interest. Each year, PILS encourages second and third year law students to attend the Equal Justice Works Career Fair and Conference to explore public interest career opportunities on a nationwide level. Additionally, we foster regional public interest employment opportunities by hosting a career fair in the spring on LSU’s campus. We host events in conjunction with Career Services in order to inform students of the benefits of a career in public interest and managing student loan debt during a public interest career. We hope that by assisting students in finding and funding public interest internships and entry level jobs, they will continue to work in public interest after graduation.
