CHECK YOUR EMAILS for your Site Leader’s Directions!
WE WILL NOT BE MEETING AT THE LAW CENTER AT 7:30.
If you have yet to be contacted by said Site Leaders, please be patient as some are in class still. Be on the lookout for communications from them this afternoon/evening. Also, please communicate with your Site Leaders so that everything can run as smoothly as possible. If you are not contacted by your Site Leader by tomorow morning, pleae email me at kcart56@lsu.edu.

Keep in mind: community service is not always a glorified activity and may require you to sweat and get a lil dirty. Sometimes to make a positive difference in yours and others lives, you have to get out of your comfort zone. Keep your heads up and know that you are truly helping better our community. You are also creating a positive image for the legal profession, as we all know lawyers aren’t exactly the public’s favorite people.
There will be lunch! Sandwiches from Jimmy John’s- Ham, Turkey, Roast Beef, and Vegetarian- and a bag of chips will be served at each site sometime towards the end of your service time. Your site leader will already have water bottles! If you are vegan or vegetarian, please let your Site Leaders know ASAP. We ordered food to accomodate such requests and would like to get it to you.
***We have been monitoring the incoming hurricane. It is not supposed to make landfall until Monday, with possible bands hitting Sunday evening. This should have no effect upon our volunteer activities. For those of you who are not familiar with hurricanes in Louisiana, this is nothing to stress over.We are informing everyone to the best of our knowledge and we are not responsible for your actions/inactions regarding the hurricane. If you are concerned about the hurricane, reach out to your Louisiana classmates and they will tell you what you should do and how to prepare. Again, this will have no effect on Saturday.
