Carolina Academic Press published Latin American Company Law, Volume 1, A Comparative and Economic Development Perspective, edited by Boris Kozolchyk & Francisco Reyes, and Volume 2, A new Policy Agenda: Reshaping the Closely Held Entity Landscape, edited by Francisco Reyes.
Bogota-based Francisco Reyes is a regular Visiting Professor at the LSU Law Center. He has taught both on our Baton Rouge campus and in our Lyon Summer Program in recent years. In his Foreword to Volume 1, he expresses special gratitude to Professor John J. Costonis, Chancellor Emeritus of the Law Center, for the great support received, and thanks Professor Olivier Moréteau, Director of the Center of Civil Law Studies. This book project was indeed sponsored by a U.S. Small Business Administration grant, which also financed a Hemispheric Trade Conference on Challenges to Hemispheric Trade Posed by the Common Law/Civil Law Divide hosted by the LSU Law Center in April 2006.
The LSU Law Center is proud to welcome and promote this work resulting from a long-term Latin American partnership.
