LSU BLSA Members Return from Summer Jobs.
This summer, third year law student Vadal Bolds interned for Chevron North America Exploration and Production’s Land Department in Bakersfield, California. She worked alongside professionals who manage the company’s land assets for one of its upstream business units. While there, she was introduced to the oil and gas industry and had the opportunity to learn how the company makes strategic business decisions. Vadal is excited to return and complete her last year of law school and looks forward to using the skills she learned during her internship to be competitive in the job market.

Kenneth Barnes, a second year law student, spent the Summer of 2013 as a Summer Associate for Jones Walker LLP and McGlinchey Stafford, PLLC. He gained valuable experience researching, analyzing legal issues, and becoming more deeply involved in cases. Observing real life practice situations and gaining knowledge of day-to-day legal practice has made Kenneth excited to tackle his second year.

William Wratee, a third year law student, spent his summer as an intern for the Richland County Public Defenders Officer in Columbia, South Carolina and fulfilling his obligation as an United States Army Reservist. As an intern with the Public Defender William gained valuable experience helping and watching attorneys provide and promote quality legal representation to indigent adults and children facing prosecution.
