Proposed Realignment Fails.

A proposed constitutional amendment, under Article III, Section II, Subsection B (Regional Membership, No. 5 & 6) of the NBLSA constitution, to move Louisiana and Arkansas law schools from the Southern region of NBLSA (SRBLSA) to the Rocky Mountain region of NBLSA (RMBLSA) failed to pass at the national plenary session in Atlanta.
RMBLSA proposed the amendment under the rationale that realignment of Louisiana and Arkansas law schools would benefit both RMBLSA and NBLSA by providing greater fiscal, chapter and membership balance, provide more leadership opportunities for Louisiana and Arkansas law students and make competitions more competitive in RMBLSA.
After spirited debate, in which Tulane, Loyola New Orleans and LSU law school delegates contributed, the body rejected the proposed amendment for realignment.
