The LSU International Law Society, headed by 3rd year law student Ms. Brittany Crockett, did a spectacular job hosting John C. Roberts, DOS Diplomat in Residence, South-East Texas-Louisiana, during his visit to LSU. This included a presentation to more than 70 students from the law center and LSU’s main campus. Pictured with him are International Law Society Officers:
Meredith Soniat – Co-Vice President
Gregory Reda – Media Chairman
Alicia Westerhoff – Vice President of Employment
Brittany Crockett – President
Charlotte Goudeau – Co-Vice President
John C. Roberts commented: “Brittany interned for the U.S. Embassy in Iceland during the Summer of 2012 and Meredith interned for the U.S. Embassy in Guyana during the Summer of 2013. Both of these outstanding students have been tremendously helpful in promoting the Department’s student programs to their colleagues. Thanks to their efforts and the efforts of the other members of the LSU International Law Society the event was a huge success. I look forward to returning to LSU on a regular basis to meet with students and here’s why:
The LSU Law Center features the only joint degree program, Juris Doctor/Graduate Diploma in Comparative Law, in the United States and is only one of two such programs in the Western Hemisphere.
LSU Law Center was ranked # 11 Best Law Schools 2013 by the National Jurist/Pre-Law magazine
The LSU Law Center was rated the # 3 Best Value Law School in the nation by the National Jurist/Pre-Law magazine in 2012.”
