On February 23, 2017, Julieta Marotta added a PhD to an impressive resume. A law graduate of the University of Buenos Aires, Julieta Marotta added the LSU LL.M. in Comparative Law in 2007. Her research and practical interests fall in the area of Law and Development, more precisely on innovative forms of access to justice and legal empowerment. She taught and presented at seminars in Argentina, England, the Netherlands, and the United States. The title of her doctoral thesis is Access to Justice and Legal Empowerment of Victims of Domestic Violence through Legal Organizations in the City of Buenos Aires, A Qualitative Empirical Legal Study.
Congratulations to Dr. Julieta Marotta and to her husband Dr. Agustin Parise, LSU LL.M. 2006, Research Associate at the CCLS 2006-2010, now Professor of Law at the University of Maastricht, and current Executive Editor of our Journal of Civil Law Studies.
