Civil Law in Louisiana: Did You Know?

The Journal of Civil Law Studies launched a new section, “Civil Law in Louisiana,” featuring notes written by LSU Law Students on cases recently decided by Louisiana Courts. For instance, Bill Hudson discussed Communications Services, Inc. v. Hagan, where the Louisiana Supreme Court, answering a certified question from the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, refused to recognize the tort of trespass to chattels, declaring instead that the claim at issue was governed by the general delictual liability provision of Louisiana Civil Code article 2315.

Eleven case notes are presently in progress for publication in Volume 6, Number 1, of the Journal of Civil Law Studies, due to be published in late May 2013.
