2016 Louisiana Miss Amazing Pageant, March 25-26, 2016
The very first Louisiana Miss Amazing Pageant will take place on March 24-25, 2016, at the Theatre Baton Rouge. The Louisiana Miss Amazing Pageant is a pageant for girls and women, ages 5-35, with disabilities. Our goal is to help empower these amazing girls and women so that they know they’re amazing, and they learn how to use their new skills acquired through the pageant to give back to their communities. The participants donate canned and/or boxed food items as their “entry fee” for the pageant. After the pageant, our crowned queens will kick off their reigns by taking the food donations to their local food banks or shelters.
We need volunteers for numerous parts of the pageant, such as being a Buddy to a participant (a girl who helps an individual participant throughout the pageant), Right Hand Men (guys who dress up and escort participants out onto the stage during the formal wear portion of the pageant, someone to handle the raffles taking place during the pageant, people to help with talent, trainers, and about 20 other different kinds of volunteers.
Kendra Gives Back Event, November 3, 2015, 6pm-8pm:
This is a sales event in which the Perkins Rowe Kendra Scott location will serve “sips and sweets” to our guests while they shop. At the end of the event, Kendra Scott will donate 20% of the sales to the Louisiana Miss Amazing Pageant, which would be fantastic! I really want to get the word out about this event because I truly believe that this could be a great fundraiser for us!
