The Public Interest Law Society is seeking volunteers to assist with the resettlement of refugees from Afghanistan in Baton Rouge. Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Baton Rouge is assisting with the relocation of as many as 100 families of refugees from the war-torn nation. Some of the families have already arrived in Baton Rouge and more are expected in the coming months.

How to Volunteer

If you do volunteer to help with transportation you would need to have all paperwork complete, including the new application, background check and Safe and Sacred training certificate , at https://diobr.org/child-youth-protection (scroll down under certification) Each volunteer should forward the certification that is generated at the end of the program. Please send the completed forms to avegaquintana@ccdiobr.org to be added to your file.
