The Locking Up Our Own: Crime and Punishment in Black America event happened on September 27, 2019 at the Paul M. Hebert Law Center. The distinguished Pulitzer Prize author and Yale Law Professor, James Forman Jr., visited the law center and gave the lecture above to over 50 students. This dynamic lecture dealt with Forman’s life, the history of mass incarceration and struggle with the criminal justice system in Black America, and possible solutions to creating change.
