2017 BLSA Banquet

At the conclusion of each year, the members of the Black Law Student Association come together to celebrate each other, the accomplishments of the year, honor an LSU Alum, and send off the graduating third year law students.
The 2016 – 2017 LSU Law Alumni Honoree was Honorable Judge Trudy White. Judge White serves on the 19th Judicial District Court and has held that position on the bench since 2009. We were thrilled to have her in our presence, but most importantly to have her as one of our own!
Special Thanks to Gary M. Carter, Jr. for being our guest speaker for the evening and for delivering a powerful message on opportunity and perseverance.
Special Thanks to the 2016 – 2017 BLSA President, Ms. Jumoke Dara and Executive Board for a great year, numerous
hours of community service, first class programing for the PMH Law Center and a fabulous closing event.
