Lets Move BLSA

In keeping with First Lady Michelle Obama’s “Lets Move” initiative LSU BLSA visited a local grade school at Halloween. Given the fun holiday, we did a Lets Move Monster Mash. BLSA and the Kids danced, exercised, and ate healthy snacks for the last part of the school day. .

Stand Your Ground Panel

LSU BLSA in conjunction with The Federalist Society took action in light of the events surrounding Trayvon Martin’s death. A panel was hosted to discuss racism and the shortfalls of the criminal justice system. Educated Guest speakers from around the country served on the panel in the jam-packed auditorium.   Read more…

Breast Cancer Awareness

The Ladies of LSU BLSA participated in a “switcheroo”. In order to support breast cancer awareness, the ladies played in a Powder Puff football game in which the 2ls won and all proceeds from the game were donated to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation.  

Angola Prison Book Drive

The Angola Prison Book Drive will begin September 24th. LSU BLSA asks that  people donate books on the subject of Constitutional Law, Criminal Law, and Conviction Sentencing. All books will be delivered on September 28th.

LSU BLSA President Kiara Gradney wins LSU Law Opening Statement Competition

LSU BLSA offers congratulations to Kiara Gradney for winning best opening statement for the prosecution in the LSU Law 2013 Opening Statement Competition.
